Parking Design Portfolio - Educational
Nova Southeastern University West Garage
625 space 5-level precast pre-stressed concrete parking structure
Continued development of Nova Southeastern University’s Davie campus master plan created a need to have a new parking structure designed and constructed within a short schedule on an existing surface parking lot that served the University School, a Kindergarten through Twelfth grade educational facility on the campus. Construction of the new structure had to be completed in just 14 weeks over the summer break to minimize disruption to the operation of the University School. The design was completed in just two months to help meet the challenging schedule.
The West Garage is a two-bay wide, five-level high single threaded helix structure with parking on one flat bay and one ramped bay. The 560 spaces provide parking for faculty, students, and visitors of the college and University School, as well as visitors to the Miami Dolphins practice facility that is located on the campus.
