Tom Butcher is an Executive Vice President and Director of Aviation Services for Walker Parking Consultants.
Since joining the firm in 1980, Tom has been personally involved in the planning and functional design of over 300 parking facilities throughout the United States and abroad. He has performed and supervised numerous traffic impact and parking feasibility studies for a variety of clients in the airport, commercial, healthcare, governmental and educational fields.
Tom is a recognized expert in the functional design of mega-sized parking structures at airports, including automobile circulation, pedestrian flow, way-finding, and geometric design. He has performed functional design for airport parking structures at Milwaukee (5,000 spaces), Baltimore (5,600 space consolidated rental car facility), Knoxville (3,000 spaces), Raleigh-Durham (8,900 spaces, 16,000 spaces master planned) and Indianapolis 6,800 spaces), among others.
Tom is a member of several aviation related professional organizations (AAAE, ACI International) and has been a frequent speaker at their gatherings.
