Rashid Ahmed is a Vice President and Regional Structural Engineer in our Elgin office and is responsible for overseeing structural engineering for the Elgin, Boston and Minneapolis offices.

Rashid joined Walker Parking Consultants in 1993 as a Project Engineer, was promoted to Senior Engineer in 1997, to Department Head/Structural in 1998, to Regional Structural Engineer in 2000, to Principal in 2003, and to Vice President in 2008. His responsibilities include overseeing structural analysis and design of the parking structures using computer models, restoration design, coordination of engineering and drafting personnel, construction administration and peer review for post-tensioned and precast concrete parking structures.

Rashid currently serves on various committees with the American Concrete Institute, Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute, and Post-Tensioning Institute and has been a frequent speaker at their conventions.
